The Bronze Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior Can earn. 
You can become a Bronze Award Girl Scout if you:
  • Are in 4th or 5th grade
  • Are a registered Girl Scout Junior
  • Have completed a Junior Leadership Award or Girl Scout Journey

The Bronze Award does not require a proposal. Please feel free to communicate your idea with the Highest Award Team at Council prior to starting, to ensure your Girl Scout is on the right track. You may reach out to them at: [email protected]

  • Please refer to the new requirements, although Journeys will continue to be honored as pre-requisites.
  • Girls must complete the award by February 1st each year to be included at Council's Honor's Day Ceremony.
  • Girls have until September 30th to complete their awards. This means: Bronze awards must be complete by September 30th of the year the Girl is entering 6th grade. The Silver Award must be complete by September 30th of the year the Girl enters 9th grade. The Gold Award must be complete by September 30th of the year the Girl graduates. 
  • Bronze Award Team size has no maximum but may not be recommended for large troops. There may also be different goals and projects within your troop. Remember, girls must individually put in 20+ hours to the project, it is not a collective amount.
